Dr. G. Devin Stephenson selected as next president of Florida Polytechnic University
The Florida Polytechnic University Board of Trustees announced the selection of Dr. G. Devin Stephenson as the next president of the University. Engineering students solve soldiers’ problem at lightning speed

Eglin Federal Credit Union and the Okaloosa County School District teamed up to bring financial literacy to high school students. On Thursday, April 4, volunteers from Wells Fargo and IDEAS For Us built a community garden at Boca Club, an affordable housing space owned by the Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation. Florida consumer sentiment tumbles despite positive national outlook
Following five consecutive monthly increases, consumer sentiment among Floridians dipped 2.1 points in March to 72, down from a revised figure of 74.1 in February. This decline contrasts with the national consumer sentiment, which increased 2.5 points. “The drop in consumer sentiment was largely driven by Floridians’ views on their personal financial situation a year from now, which plummeted sharply in March. UF extends enrollment confirmation deadline to May 15
The University of Florida is extending the enrollment confirmation deadline for first-year students due to delays in universities receiving financial aid data from the federal government. UF acknowledges the critical role finances play in the college selection process. Consequently, the deadline extension was made to better support students and their families.
