SAP4Kids

Root Cause Focus: Food Insecurity

GENYOUth and SAP joined forces to create the SAP4Kids Program, which helps families find food and other resources during the COVID-19 crisis. GENYOUth has also launched a COVID-19 School Nutrition Fund that provides grants of up to $3,000 per school to supply much-needed resources for meal distribution and delivery to help ensure that our children continue getting nutritious meals. Through the combined power of SAP technology and GENYOUth’s unmatched access to school communities, these programs aim to connect people to local resources, while also providing ways that organizations can offer additional support. Circles USA

Root Cause Focus: Agency-Community Voice

A Circles USA chapter gathers people who are motivated to move out of poverty and matches them with middle-income and high-income volunteers who can support and encourage them on their journey. Through mentoring, education and training, and the right resources, individuals and families can break out of poverty and become upwardly mobile. Through trainings and weekly meetings, Circle USA participants build friendships with volunteers. Over time, these relationships help families climb out of poverty and achieve financial stability. Nemours Reading BrightStart!

Root Cause Focus: Education

Nemours Reading BrightStart! was developed to promote reading success and prevent reading failure in children through innovative programs, research, leadership, and partnerships focused on children from birth to 8 years old. Practitioners and caregivers are given the tools to help build language, literacy, and communications skills, while also developing cognitive, physical, and social-emotional skills for each infant or toddler in their care. Ride United

Root Cause Focus: Transportation

Ride United is a transportation access initiative that assists individuals in overcoming transportation barriers. With support from General Motors and Lyft, Ride United will leverage the strengths of local United Ways and the 2-1-1 network to address unmet transportation needs for individuals and families. The first cities that participated in this initiative partnered with Lyft to provide free rides to 211 clients in need of transportation for employment, health, and other reasons. In 2015, Humana launched their Bold Goal population health strategy to improve the health of the communities they serve. Humana’s Bold Goal aims to build a sustainable healthcare system by working with partners to help connect those in need to resources within communities in need. Bezos Academy - Light Every Fire

Bezos Academy is a network of tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities across the country. The mission of Bezos Academy is to nurture the potential in every child to become a creative leader, original thinker, and lifelong learner by increasing access to early childhood education for low-income families. Bezos Academy preschools offer year-round programming, five days a week, for children ages 3-5 years old. Families earning up to 400% of the federal poverty level are eligible to apply for enrollment and each school is responsive to its local community and the needs of its children and families. Affordable Connectivity Program – Rogue Mobile Inc.

Rogue Mobile believes everyone deserves to connect to the people and things that matter most. Affordable Connectivity Program provides free broadband and wireless data and a government-subsidized tablet to those in need. The ACP works along with other government benefits to provide help and connectivity to those who qualify for assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, or the National School Lunch program.
