Our Team

The Florida Chamber, our members and our partners have been fighting for greater economic opportunity and job creation since 1916. And for the past 100 years, the Florida Chamber has stood up for what’s right for Florida in every corner — from the Florida Legislature to the Florida Cabinet, from state to federal agencies, from the court of law to the court of public opinion. When the battle is about what is best for Florida’s future, the Florida Chamber is on the front lines.

In 2023, Florida experienced one of the fastest rates of inbound taxpayer migration in the country, with one new taxpayer relocating to Florida every 1.5 minutes. Accounting for movement in both directions, Florida gained $2.4 million in income per hour, totaling $20.6 billion annually for the largest income migration gains among U.S. states.

As Americans moved at record highs in 2022 and 2023 after the pandemic, high-income taxpayers increasingly chose Florida as a top destination for relocation, wealth preservation, and business opportunity. High levels of net income migration were concentrated in the Sun Belt, with Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arizona, and Tennessee all emerging as leading hubs for population growth, job creation, and corporate relocation. However, Florida’s net income migration was greater than those states combined, highlighting Florida’s dominance as the preferred destination for high-income migration, tax advantage seekers, and capital inflows in the United States.
