Tampa Electric Supports Children Entering Foster Care Through Duffels of Dignity

Tampa Electric (TECO) marked National Foster Care Awareness Month by volunteering with Hillsborough County Children’s Services to support the Duffels of Dignity program, an initiative that provides essential items to children entering foster care and emergency placements.

During the volunteer effort, Tampa Electric team members assembled duffel bags filled with necessities such as blankets, hygiene products, and other comfort items. These bags are designed to ensure children have personal belongings and basic supplies during what can be an uncertain and challenging transition.

The project reflects Tampa Electric’s commitment to serving the community and supporting vulnerable youth throughout the Tampa Bay region. By partnering with local organizations, the company helps provide practical assistance and a sense of care for children beginning a new chapter in foster care.
