Florida Chamber of Commerce Congratulates GE on Major Jobs Announcement 500 New Jobs Slated for Jacksonville Area

TALLAHASSEE, FL. (September 26, 2014) – The Florida Chamber of Commerce today congratulates GE on their plans to bring more than 500 new jobs and more than $50 million in capital investment to the Jacksonville area.

“GE’s commitment to create 500 new high-wage, high-skill jobs in Jacksonville is another sign that Florida is moving in the right direction,” said Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “GE is an innovation driven Fortune 500 company, and are important partners in Florida’s growing economy. Congratulations GE.”

Since December 2010, Florida has created more than 640,000 private-sector jobs, our business climate is ranked second in the nation and higher-education initiatives are placing an emphasis on college and career readiness.
