Amgen Volunteers Help Provide Thousands of Meals Through Tampa Bay Service Day

Amgen employees recently came together with friends and family for the company’s Q2 Family and Friends Day of Service at Feeding Tampa Bay, supporting efforts to address food insecurity in the region.

A total of 23 volunteers participated in a hands-on service project, spending time helping package 14,669 pounds of potatoes. The effort contributed to meals that will serve more than 12,000 people across the Tampa Bay community.

The initiative is part of Amgen’s ongoing quarterly volunteer program, which partners with local nonprofits to support community needs throughout the year. In addition to direct service, employee volunteer hours also help generate additional charitable funding through the company’s Dollars for Doers program, further increasing the overall impact of each event.

The project reflects Amgen’s continued commitment to employee engagement and community support through consistent, measurable volunteer action.
