Success Academy Announces Locations of Five New, High-Quality Miami-Dade Schools Opening in 2027
Success Academy, the nation’s leading non-profit charter school organization, announced the locations of its first five elementary schools across Miami-Dade.
The five locations are:
● Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School
● Homestead Senior High School
● Miami Jackson Senior High School
● North Miami Senior High School
● Westland Hialeah Senior High School
Success Academy’s Miami schools mark the organization’s first expansion outside of New York. These 100% free, high-quality public schools will bring Success Academy’s signature K-12 approach to communities where students have limited access to a top-tier education. Opening for the 2027-2028 school year, each school will utilize underused space in existing district facilities.
“Success Academy is excited to bring our proven, high-quality educational model to Miami’s families,” said Eva Moskowitz, Founder and CEO of Success Academy. “We look forward to serving these communities, partnering with parents and delivering on the promise of an exceptional education for every child.”
“Miami’s children deserve access to the very best schools, and the arrival of Success Academy brings a new level of excellence to our most in-need communities, “ said Tal Fair, Former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Urban League of Greater Miami. “As we’ve seen them do in New York, Success Academy doesn’t just open schools—they open doors to the future for our children. We are thrilled to now welcome that same transformative impact to Miami.”
The new schools will enroll 1,500 students across the five schools in grades K-1 in 2027-28 and will add an additional grade each year.
This move into Florida comes as recent National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) results show that only 31% of the nation’s 4th graders are considered proficient in reading and just 39% are proficient in math.
