Broward County Early Learning Landscape Analysis and Roadmap

The Florida Chamber Foundation’s Florida Business Alliance for Early Learning seeks to make Florida the best state for early learning in the nation, a key step in growing Florida’s economy. Experts have identified that for Florida to become a top 10 global economy by 2030, as outlined in the Florida 2030 Blueprint, each county should seek to achieve 100% kindergarten readiness and third grade reading proficiency. With the majority of brain development occurring before age 5, and difficulty accessing affordable childcare being the number one reason parents quit their jobs in Florida, these analyses take a deep dive into county-level early learning challenges and opportunities.

In collaboration with county partners and leaders, the Florida Chamber Foundation conducted the following early learning landscape study, integrating quantitative data from parent, provider, and educator surveys with demographic and socioeconomic analysis and national best practices.
