A Guide to Innovation Economy
Technology is changing at a rapid pace and these disruptions are being felt across the Six Pillars represented by the Florida Chamber Foundation Caucuses. As we prepare for 2030, it is important that we plan for future generations by better understanding our changing workforce needs, engaging communities who are at the forefront of these changes, developing a plan for Florida’s economy and serving as catalysts to spur higher productivity in the future.
Although Florida’s economy is healthy today, the conversation continues to focus on the need to diversify. Aligning state and regional economic development around needs and opportunities for better collaboration and with an emphasis on place making will result in a system that supports economic growth in all areas of the state.
In tomorrow’s economy, it will be increasingly important to focus on policy and collaboration across agencies and institutions to leverage knowledge, technology and support of both entrepreneurism and corporate innovation for testing and growth of new concepts. Innovation is a driver of growth that will put the state and its communities ahead of competitors.
