Nemours Children’s Health Named Newest Florida Chamber Foundation Statewide Community Development Partner

Joins group of responsible business leaders and futurists who guide the Florida 2030 Blueprint

TALLAHASSEE, FL (June 15, 2021)— The Florida Chamber Foundation today announced Nemours Children’s Health’s expanded efforts as the newest Florida Chamber Foundation Community Development Partner.

The Florida Chamber Foundation’s Community Development Partnership (CDP) Council is a group of thought-leaders and strategic partners from across Florida who have extensive reach and significant impact on their communities. These companies believe in putting the long term over the short term and these forward-thinking individuals and companies have a deeply vested interest in Florida’s success and realize the importance of a measurable statewide strategic plan. In fact, their investment funds TheFloridaScorecard.org, which is an online decision tool that provides Florida leaders and local stakeholders with the metrics needed to measure progress within their own communities on the goals outlined in the Florida 2030 Blueprint.

“The business leaders and futurists who make up the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Community Development Partners play an essential role in uniting Florida’s job creators across all industries as we prepare for 2030,” said Florida Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Mark Wilson. “Their collective action with philanthropic alignment is guiding the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Florida 2030 Blueprint initiative to secure Florida’s future.”

Community Development Partners contribute their time, skill, and expertise towards securing Florida’s future through the development of Six Pillars— improving Florida’s talent pipeline for a better workforce, creating good jobs by diversifying Florida’s economy, preparing Florida’s infrastructure for smart growth and development, building the perfect climate for business, making government and civics more efficient and effective, and championing Florida’s quality of life. Community Development Partners have the opportunity to position Florida as the national example of free enterprise, job creation, and proven results, helping to steer Florida toward long-term solutions.

“Nemours Children’s Health looks forward to working with the Florida Chamber to identify opportunities that will improve the health of Florida’s children,” said Robert Bridges, Enterprise Executive Vice President and Chief Executive of Florida Operations for Nemours Children’s Health, and Florida Chamber Foundation Board Trustee. “Making greater investments in children’s health results in better educated and more productive adults.”

Nemours Children’s Health joins a group of 11 other Florida Community Development Partners who are unifying Florida business for good, including CareerSource Florida, Duke Energy, Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, Florida Power & Light, Holland & Knight, PhRMA, Publix, RS&H, TECO Peoples Gas, Third Lake Partners, and Wells Fargo.

“We are delighted to have Nemours Children’s Health’s engagement and voice on the Community Development Partnership (CDP) Council,” said Don Kiselewski, Sr. Director of External Affairs for Florida Power & Light, and Florida Chamber Foundation CDP Chair. “Now more than ever we need Florida’s business leaders to step up and drive the relaunch of Florida’s economy. Nemours Children’s Health’s commitment to lean in and participate in shaping the long-term success of our state is most admirable.”
