JAXPORT Supports Record $82,000 in Scholarships for Local Students

Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) supported the awarding of a record $82,000 in scholarships to 24 local students through the ILA Local 1408 Scholarship Fund, helping students pursue higher education and advance toward their academic and career goals.

The scholarship program has provided more than 1,200 scholarships totaling over $1.5 million since 1995, offering financial assistance to students and helping ease some of the costs associated with pursuing a college education.

This year’s record award reflects the continued demand for educational support and the importance of investing in the next generation. By helping make higher education more accessible, JAXPORT and its community partners are contributing to stronger educational and career opportunities for local students.
