Senator Aaron Bean Discusses Telemedicine on the Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line

The Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line public affairs program recently talked with Senator Aaron Bean for a closer look at SB 280, his proposed bill on telemedicine. Senator Bean said the bill should save Florida taxpayers $1 billion and increase access to medicine for all Floridians.

“We think it is the future of medicine to allow doctors, nurses and all healthcare professionals to utilize technology to better deliver medicine to the state of Florida,” Senator Bean said. “Right now, we have 30 rural counties in Florida; 29 are underserved with their medical needs. This cell phone is the future of medicine where we can better deliver healthcare. Faster, more affordable, more efficient and better savings to the taxpayers.

The bill unanimously passed the Senate Banking and Insurance Committee earlier this week.
