Help Keep Film Jobs in Florida

Tomorrow, the Senate Commerce & Tourism Committee will take up SB 1046, a Florida Chamber-backed bill that will help save local jobs and businesses underpinned by the Entertainment Industry Tax Credit Program, by attracting more film projects to Florida.

SB 1046, sponsored by Senator Nancy Detert (R – Venice), will help fuel jobs and economic growth, and establish a Division of Film and Entertainment under Enterprise Florida. This bill will also help maintain technical jobs in our state, continue showcasing our state through television and movies, and help make Florida more competitive with neighboring states, such as Georgia, which has a booming film industry.
