Executive Director of Insurance & New Ventures

Nic is a safety and risk professional with 14 years of experience in the construction and insurance industries.  He is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Master’s in Safety Management. His previous roles include Director of Risk Management at one of the largest construction insurance agencies in FL. He has also been the Vice President of Safety & Loss Prevention where he worked predominantly in the fuel distribution, construction, & alternative energy sectors. Prior to that, he led in the erection of over 200 wind turbines in the Midwest as project manager, a regional safety engineer for projects with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and also as a lead safety manager for a nuclear waste processing facility contracted by the Department of Energy (DOE).  In all these positions he was tasked with providing loss prevention to an assortment of companies that varied in size, scope, & industry and was able to develop & implement specific risk management programs to successfully reduce the severity & frequency of workplace injuries & claims.

During his career, Nic has worked all over the United States but ultimately decided to set roots here in Florida. He has entrenched himself into the fabric of the construction community of the greater Tampa Bay area and is ecstatic to service companies that are building a bigger, better, and brighter Florida. He is excited to share his knowledge of OSHA compliance, regulations, safety best practices, insurance coverage, risk management & loss prevention with safety council members. Nic is also a licensed 220 Florida insurance agent and is tasked with the creation of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Insurance division.
