SeaWorld & Partners Rescued 1,000+ Animals in 2021

2021 was a busy year for SeaWorld Rescue. Experts from all three of our parks mobilized to aid more than 1,145 animals including bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sea lions, seals, sea turtles, sharks, birds and more. With conservation at our core, we always strive to return animals back to their natural environment whenever possible.

Two of the 1,000+ rescues were a pair orphaned manatee calves. Weighing in at 70 pounds when they were first rescued, our team provided bottle feedings every three hours! As one of five critical care facilities for manatees, SeaWorld veterinary and animal care specialists will help raise the youngsters until they can be returned to native waters. Re-watch the August rescue, here.

As we dive into 2022, our dedicated team is ready, and we look forward to working with dozens of partners to rescue and return sick, orphaned and injured animals in need. Read more about our rescue and rehabilitation work in 2021, here.
