NSU Expands Support for Veterans Through New Initiatives and Community Celebration

On November 11, 2025, Nova Southeastern University hosted its annual Veterans Day celebration at the Armed Forces Service Plaza on the Davie campus. The celebration coincided with expanded support initiatives for veterans and their families—most notably a $6 million state appropriation to bolster the university’s Veterans Care Program. The program provides essential health services including dental, vision, hearing, and mental-health care at little or no cost to eligible veterans and their dependents. NSU reported that since its inception in 2019, the program has served more than 10,000 veterans and logged nearly 100,000 patient encounters across the state. NSU emphasized its ongoing commitment to those who have served—indicating that the celebration is not just symbolic but part of a broader strategy to support veterans academically, medically, and professionally.
