Florida transportation, trade, logistics, manufacturing, and economic development leaders convening, with a keynote presentation by Secretary Jared Perdue
The Florida Chamber Foundation will be hosting its 2025 Florida Transportation, Growth & Infrastructure Solution Summit on December 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes in Orlando.
The Solution Summit serves as a visioning platform for asset owners, developers, engineers, logistics firms, economic developers, and state and local policymakers to engage in candid dialogue, build strategic partnerships, and advance solutions aligned with the Florida 2030 Blueprint’s infrastructure goals, while addressing the opportunities and challenges Florida faces as it prepares to meet the demands of current and future population. Attendees will gain actionable insights on trends that drive growth, mobility, energy infrastructure, and community prosperity.
The one-day event will tackle Florida’s most pressing infrastructure challenges. Key topics include international trade and seaport growth strategy, energy, broadband and connectivity expansion, affordable workforce housing, transportation, and the infrastructure needs of the aerospace industry.
In addition to a keynote presentation led by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Secretary Jared Perdue, sharing early insights into FDOT’s Florida Transportation Plan 2055, attendees will also hear from:
- Beth Cooley, Head, State & Local Policy, Connectivity, Amazon
- Rob Long, President & CEO, Space Florida
- Bryan Griffin, President & CEO, VISIT FLORIDA
- Ashley Dietz, President & CEO, Florida Philanthropic Network
- Matt Swanson, Interim President & CEO, SelectFlorida, COO, FloridaCommerce
- Captain John W. Murray, CEO, Port Canaveral
- Kevin Carr, CEO, FloridaMakes
- Jessica Ottaviano, Chief of Staff, FDOT
- And more!
As part of the Solution Summit, the Florida Chamber Foundation will also unveil a new study detailing the county-by-county impact of Florida’s 2020 Census undercount, which missed approximately 750,000 residents. Research by the Foundation has gleaned that the undercount resulted in an estimated $11 billion in federal tax dollars left on the table, affecting community reinvestments, infrastructure funding, and economic growth across the state.
“Florida is projected to add more than 2.5 million residents by 2030, welcome 40 million annual visitors, and see roughly 2.1 million new drivers on its roadways,” said Dr. Keith Richard, Vice President of Research for the Florida Chamber Foundation. These insights highlight the importance of an accurate 2030 Census count to make certain Florida’s communities receive their fair share of federal funding and have community investments that keep pace with our state’s growth. We’ll be unveiling a research study at the Summit showing how much federal funding each Florida county missed out on due to the 2020 Census undercount.”
Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Foundation, added, “As Florida continues to grow, our infrastructure must not only keep pace but lead the way. At the Florida Chamber Foundation, we are uniting business, policy, and community leaders to position Florida competitively on a global scale while building the foundation for long-term prosperity.”
