Ascension Florida Awarded $7.8 Million Grant to Expand Maternal Telehealth Services

Ascension Florida has been awarded a $7.8 million grant from the Florida Department of Health to expand its maternal telehealth programs, enhancing access to care for expectant and new mothers across the state. The funding will help establish a comprehensive telehealth network connecting patients with vital services such as lactation support, nutrition guidance, mental health counseling, car seat safety education, and stress management. The program, set to launch in early 2026, will provide patient navigators to ensure mothers receive continuous, personalized care during pregnancy and postpartum. Focused on reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, especially in underserved communities like Duval County, this initiative builds on Ascension’s successful “Brighter Beginnings” program, reinforcing the organization’s mission to improve health equity and support the well-being of Florida families.
