2030 Goal Leader Updates

2030 Goal Leader Update: World’s most capable spaceport; top-tier airports, seaports, and surface transportation hubs in U.S.

On November 15, the nearly $1 trillion bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was signed into law, representing historic investment in the modernization of our nation’s physical infrastructure. With new federal resources, Florida can bolster current efforts to address the infrastructure needs of a rapidly growing population and economy. At the state level, the sixty-day 2022 Legislative Session is in full swing. The Governor’s budget proposal includes significant and continued investment in water quality and quantity, resiliency, and another $10 billion for the FDOT 5-year plan – priorities shared by legislative leadership. Currently, the Florida Chamber is gathering input for the Trade and Logistics 2030 Report, to set the course for Florida’s continued leadership in trade, supply chain logistics, export-oriented manufacturing, and rural economic development efforts through 2030. The final report is set to launch in April in conjunction with the Transportation, Growth and Infrastructure Summit in Jacksonville.
