NSU Researchers Explore Greenland in Expedition to Study Melting Ice Sheets
Researchers from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) embarked on a field expedition to Greenland to investigate how the island’s ice sheets are responding to climate change and to better understand their impact on global sea levels. During the journey, the team conducted hands-on studies in harsh Arctic conditions, collecting vital data on ice melt, sub-ice terrain, and fluid dynamics beneath the ice sheets. The project aimed to bridge cutting-edge climate science with education and outreach, offering students and faculty the rare opportunity to participate directly in polar research while helping build both academic and public understanding of one of Earth’s most significant and rapidly changing environments.
