Ivette Faulkner serves as Executive Vice President of Strategic Communication and Marketing. In this inaugural role, Ivette oversees marketing and communication efforts enterprise wide including The Florida Chamber Foundation, The Prosperity Initiative, The Florida Chamber Safety Council and the Florida Chamber Litigation & Regulatory Reform Center to name a few.
As a former television producer and reporter, Ivette has a passion for storytelling and leveraging emotional connections to humanize brands. Prior to joining the Chamber, Ivette spent 15 years working for numerous Marketing and Public Relations agencies representing national consumer brands and developing strategic campaigns and initiatives aimed at driving earned media, buzz, awareness and most importantly business results. During her career, she has represented major brands including Firehouse Subs, Pilot Pen, Domino Sugar, CoStar Group, Apartments.com, Conn’s HomePlus, The Joint Chiropractic, Extended Stay America, Party City, Hunter Fan, Nature’s Own, Wonder bread, Tastykake and more.
As a first generation Cuban-American and native Floridian, Ivette is passionate about Free Enterprise and the role businesses and business leaders can play in making positive impacts in Florida and in local communities. Originally from Miami, Ivette moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University, receiving a degree in Mass Media Studies with a French minor. She is also accredited in public relations, receiving her APR credentials from the Universal Accreditation Board. Ivette is an EMMY Award winner, Platinum ADRIAN award winner, has been recognized by the Florida Public Relations Association with several Image and Golden Image Awards and was named one of the “Top 25 Women You Need to Know” by the Tallahassee Democrat.
A lover of languages, Ivette is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks conversational French. Ivette resides in Tallahassee with her husband, two sons and their Boston Terrier Luclle Ball. She is a self-proclaimed fashionista, foodie, traveler and book worm.
