Coke Florida Awarded FSMSDC MBE Business Impact Award

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida) has been awarded the Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) 2023 Doing Well While Doing Good® Humanitarian Award.

As part of FSMSDC’s Annual Business Impact Awards, the Doing Well While Doing Good® award recognizes a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Corporate Member whose organization is making a difference in the community through civic, philanthropic, and volunteer initiatives.

“We are honored to receive this distinguished award for our positive community impact across Florida,” said Percy L. Wells, II, Group Vice President of Government Relations, Public Affairs, and Communications at Coke Florida. “Coke Florida, driven by our community pillars, focuses on programs that strengthen communities, empower students through educational programs, and protect the environment.” Initiatives led and supported by Coke Florida, like Sustainability Superheroes, the Coke Florida Refreshing Minds Scholarship℠, and Habitat for Humanity home builds, create shared value and lasting impact on local communities.

Coke Florida is a family-owned Coca-Cola bottler covering 47 of the 67 counties in Florida. The company, founded in 2015, became MBE certified in 2019. “We could not think of a better company than Coke Florida for this year’s award,” said Beatrice Louissaint, President and CEO of the FSMSDC. “The company is a great partner that supports our mission of equity in business and, most importantly, submitted an outstanding response to the Doing Well While Doing Good® award nomination that showcased a tremendous amount of community engagement and initiatives resulting in incredible impact statewide.”

The company was previously honored as Minority Business Enterprise Supplier of the Year – Class IV. The Class IV award recognizes the certified MBE supplier of the year with annual sales of more than $50 million and that has demonstrated solid business performance, strong community involvement, and a commitment to supporting and expanding supplier diversity.
