Florida and other states are exposed to a growing range of risks, including extreme weather events; sea level rise and other climate trends. As we identify how to respond to the risks ahead, we must consider a Florida’s existing challenges:

As Florida anticipates adding more than five million more residents by 2030, we must make careful decisions about how to protect, increase responsiveness, and invest in regions and communities at risk. Florida must improve the capacity of local, regional, and state agencies and nonprofit organizations to prepare for and respond to risks.
