Florida may add as many as 5 million new residents by 2030, with the most significant gains coming in the next few years as the Baby Boomers head to retirement. As we plan for Florida’s future, the priorities outlined in the Florida 2030 Quality of Life Pillar state we must adapt education, training, and lifelong learning for both a younger and an older, as well as a more diverse, workforce.
It will also be crucial that we ensure our growing population of Baby Boomers is engaged in their community, sharing their expertise and educated about the challenges and opportunities facing Florida’s future.
