Governor Ron DeSantis today officially received the Florida Chamber of Commerce-backed infrastructure bill – SB 7068.
With 4.5 million more people expected to call Florida home by 2030, the legislature took major strides to prepare for Florida’s future growth with SB 7068. Mirrored after the Florida Chamber’s Infrastructure Coalition recommendations, this bill passed with bipartisan support.

There are some that will always oppose smart growth and opportunities, believing that a thriving economy cannot coexist with responsible environmentalism or that our roadways are already adequate for the future. Indeed, there are environmental groups fighting against this smart growth bill, publicly targeting the Florida Chamber for smartly preparing for Florida’s future growth just as they are heavily lobbying Governor DeSantis to veto this bill.
