The Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line Featuring Carol Roberts

The Florida Chamber's Bottom Line - February 19, 2015

Carol Roberts, President and CEO Bay County Chamber of Commerce, shares why partnering with the Florida Chamber of Commerce makes a difference for the business community on the latest edition of the Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line.

“It’s extremely important for local chambers to support the Florida Chamber and your efforts in governmental affairs,” said Roberts. “In my opinion, this is where the rubber really hits the road- where we can be most effective for our individual communities- by joining partnerships with organizations such as the Florida Chamber that represents us on a statewide basis.”

Roberts also shared the importance of educating legislators and of local chambers sharing their voices in Tallahassee.

“It’s important to us to get in before session starts to educate our elected officials on the priorities of the Bay County community and issues affecting our region too,” said Roberts.

The Bay County Chamber recently traveled to Tallahassee, and held meetings with Department of Transportation officials, the Fish and Wildlife Commissioner, Senator Don Gaetz, and Representatives Jay Trumbull and Brad Drake.
