Rena Langley is the senior vice president, Walt Disney World Public Affairs and Worldwide Government and Industry Relations. She oversees external communications, internal communications, executive communications and corporate citizenship for the Walt Disney World Resort as well as global government and industry relations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
With wide-ranging experience in strategic corporate communications, Rena brings expertise and passion to building stakeholder relations, developing strategies for emerging issues and crisis communications, supporting business growth and developing her team members.
Rena began her Disney career in 1998 and has held several Public Affairs positions within the company. Prior to assuming her current role, she served as the vice president of Public Affairs for Disney Cruise Line and New Vacation Operations, which includes Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. She led the integrated communications planning efforts for the launch of new ships and the opening of Aulani.
Before joining Disney, Rena held roles as a news reporter and in public and government relations for AAA. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida.
In the community, Rena serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Orlando Museum of Art. Additionally, she was appointed to the OneOrlando Board developed by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to oversee the funds donated to those affected by the Pulse tragedy. Previously, she served as president of the Board of Directors for the Adult Literacy League in Orlando and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Public Relations Association. Rena lives in Orlando with her husband, Christian, and their two sons.
