Michael Williams is the Director of the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Florida Prosperity Initiative. The Florida Prosperity Initiative harnesses the power of free enterprise to help break the cycle of generational poverty in Florida one zip code at a time, one neighborhood at a time.
Michael’s experience spreads the spectrum of non-profit, public and private-sector leadership.
Michael began his career in Government Affairs for the Florida Manufactured Housing Association. From 2005-2008, Michael left politics to serve as a missionary with N.E.T. Ministries in St. Paul, MN. In his time with N.E.T., he has spoken to thousands of youth and young adults across the United States, Honduras, and Australia.
Upon returning to Florida in 2009, Michael held several positions within Florida’s legislative process, including 2012-14, Michael served as Deputy Communication Director for the Florida House of Representatives Majority Office (2012-14) and from 2014-2016 as Communications Director for House Speaker Steve Crisafulli. Most recently, Michael served as Director of Media Relations for CoreMessage Public Relations in Tallahassee. Michael serves as the Chairman of the Pastoral Council for the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More. Michael lives in Tallahassee with his wife and three children.
