Michael Williams is the Director of the Florida Prosperity Initiative for the Florida Chamber Foundation. The Florida Prosperity Initiative harnesses the power of free enterprise to help break the cycle of generational poverty in Florida.
Michael’s experience spreads the spectrum of missionary work, public service and private-sector leadership.
Michael’s introduction to Florida politics came in 2001 when he served in Government Affairs for the Florida Manufactured Housing Association. From 2005-2008, Michael left politics to serve as a missionary with N.E.T. Ministries in St. Paul, MN. He has spoken to thousands of youth and young adults across the United States as well as Honduras and Australia.
Upon returning to Florida in 2009, Michael held several positions within Florida’s legislative process, including 2012-14, Michael served as Deputy Communication Director for the Florida House of Representatives Majority Office (2012-14) and from 2014-2016 as Communications Director for House Speaker Steve Crisafulli. Most recently, Michael served as Director of Media Relations for CoreMessage Public Relations in Tallahassee.
Michael sits of the Florida Film & Entertainment Advisory Council, and serves as the Chairman of the Pastoral Council for the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More. Michael lives in Tallahassee with his wife and family.
