Florida Loses As Much Rain Water As Most States Get in a Year

Florida has more annual rainfall than almost every other state – more than twice the rate of California in a typical year. However, the majority of Florida’s rain water drains into the ocean. As methods for capturing and retaining water become more widely used, how will this benefit our estuarine water bodies, aquifers and long-term water needs?

Florida residents and visitors consume an estimated six billion gallons of water a day and that number is expected to increase by 20 percent per day by 2030. What impact will the increase in water consumption have on your future? Will you have the water you need to run your business or go about your personal life?
