The Florida Chamber is committed to connecting Florida’s business community to global opportunities and leveraging resources and investments to maintain and expand Florida’s position as an international trade leader. The Chamber has established the Florida Trade & logistics Institute to help coordinate implementation of the recommendations from the Florida Trade & Logistics Study 2.0; to convene statewide and regional events to inform elected officials and other public, private , and civic leaders about the importance of trade, logistics, manufacturing, and value-added services to Florida’s economy.
Goals:
- Maintain and expand Florida’s role as global hub for trade. We must be the innovative leader in trade and logistics.
- Innovation should be led by the private sector in collaboration with the public sector – a formula that Florida has mastered over the years.
- We need to strategically leverage established strengths to sustain and expand business innovation in: distribution, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, and infrastructure.
- Develop and advance solutions for the challenges and disruptions our state/nation will face in the trade and logistics over the next 3-5 years, in order to increase connectivity, grow trade, improve new market access, and take advantage of our competitive position as gateway to the Americas by 2030.
