Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis And The Florida Cabinet Officially Recognize June As Florida Safety Month

TALLAHASSEE, FL (June 15, 2021)— Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis and the Florida Cabinet today presented the Florida Chamber Safety Council with an important Safety Resolution at the June Cabinet meeting, officially recognizing June as the official safety month in Florida.

Founded in June 2020, the Florida Chamber Safety Council serves as the official state chapter of the National Safety Council and is Florida’s leading provider of workplace safety trainings while working to promote policies, practices and procedures leading to increased safety, protection and health in business and industry, in schools and colleges, on roads and highways, and in homes and communities.

The Florida Chamber Safety Council is on a mission to make Florida the safest, healthiest and most sustainable state in America, and that starts with keeping Florida’s workplace properly trained to prevent accidents. “On behalf of business leaders from every corner of Florida, I would like to thank CFO Patronis and the Florida Cabinet for sharing our vision for Florida’s future and for placing an emphasis on safety in the workplace” said Florida Chamber Safety Council President Katie Yeutter.

“Trainings promote both tactical safety strategies and employee-based awareness and behavior change that drives an organization’s day-to-day safety culture,” said Florida Chamber Safety Council Executive Director Jason Mozo. “The Florida Chamber Safety Council’s certified safety trainers have decades of combined experience working with businesses of all sizes and industries to train staff or develop and implement internal safety and health programs.”

Workplace fatalities are on the rise in Florida. The Florida Chamber Safety Council is here to change that by bringing Florida’s job creators brand new online, on-demand safety trainings for their business and employees. The Florida Chamber Safety Council’s on-demand trainings offer a library of more than 1,400 courses in 17 different languages for Florida environment, health and safety and human resource professionals.
