Florida Chamber of Commerce Endorses Josie Tomkow In Senate District 14 Special Election

The Florida Chamber of Commerce is once again uniting Florida’s business community for good and today endorsed Representative Josie Tomkow in the Special Election for Senate District 14.

As a 7th-generation Floridian and 3rd-generation cattle rancher, Josie understands the hard work required to grow and maintain a successful family business as well as the deep-rooted traditions that have helped shape Florida. Josie has earned a lifetime A-rating on the Florida Chamber’s Legislative Report Card and has proven herself a leader in the Florida House, currently serving as Chair of the Health & Human Services Committee. In the Florida Senate, Josie will continue to promote economic growth, put more money back into the pockets of Florida families, and protect Florida’s unique quality of life.

“The Florida Chamber of Commerce endorses Josie Tomkow as Senate District 14’s next state senator because of her proven record of defending free enterprise in Florida during her time in the Florida House,” said Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.  “We are confident she will continue to be a leader in ensuring Florida’s local businesses continue to thrive as a member of the Florida Senate and we look forward to working alongside her to further Florida’s momentum.”

“As the latest in a proud line of Florida ranchers, I’m especially honored to have earned the important support of the Florida Chamber of Commerce in this special election,” said Josie Tomkow. “The Florida Chamber has been a champion for all job creators and all industries across our state, and I’ve been proud to work with them to build a better quality of life for Floridians and look forward to continuing to do so as District 14’s next State Senator.”

Senate District 14 rates as a Lean Republican district on the Florida Chamber’s Partisan Performance Index. In the 2024 general election, President Trump won the 14th district by a 53-46% margin over Vice President Harris, and Governor DeSantis won SD-14 by a 55-44% margin in the 2022 gubernatorial election.

The Florida Chamber of Commerce puts its full 100-plus years of combined political experience behind getting Josie Tomkow elected.
