Florida Chamber of Commerce Endorses Jason Brodeur in Senate District 9 Race
TALLAHASSEE, FL (August 24, 2020) – The Florida Chamber of Commerce
As a local Chamber President/CEO, Jason Brodeur has a strong track record of reforming our broken legal system, while also fighting back against job-killing regulations, earning a lifetime score of 94 percent “A” on the Florida Chamber’s Legislative Report Card.
“Jason Brodeur has been a relentless champion for local businesses, earning two Distinguished Advocate awards during his time in the Florida House,” said Mark Wilson, President and CEO, Florida Chamber of Commerce. “Jason’s leadership and vision will continue serving Florida well, ensuring we remain competitive and focused on economic growth.”
The latest Florida Chamber statewide poll of likely Florida voters shows that 71 percent support COVID-19 liability protections for businesses that are working hard to protect the health and safety of employees and customers, and they believe the Florida Legislature should pass legislation to provide these safe harbors for job creators. Jason Brodeur is the only candidate for Senate District 9 who has exhibited the leadership necessary to advance these types of commonsense, pro-business efforts.
“During his time in the House, Jason has consistently fought to find long-term solutions to help create jobs and diversify Florida’s economy,” added Nick Catroppo, Vice President of Political Operations, Florida Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to working with him in the Florida Senate.”
The Florida Chamber is proud to support Jason Brodeur, putting its full 100-plus years of combined political experience behind getting him elected.
“I’m proud to have the endorsement of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Now, more than ever, we need to keep our focus on building and maintaining a vibrant economy. Protecting Florida’s low tax climate, promoting investments in education and infrastructure and ensuring that we work closely with our small businesses are all critical factors to helping get Floridians back to work. I look forward to working with the Chamber as a member of the Florida Senate,” said Jason Brodeur.
