Trey Paris of General Electric
Reappointed for 2015-2016 Term

TALLAHASSEE, FL. (May 15, 2015) – The Florida Chamber today announced Trey Paris, U.S. Manager of State Government Relations with General Electric, has been reappointed to a 1-year term as the Florida Chamber’s Atlanta Regional Chair.

“I am honored to be re-appointed as the Florida Chamber’s Atlanta Regional Chair- a great opportunity to support and share the pro-businesses initiatives of the Florida Chamber of Commerce,” said Trey Paris, U.S. Manager of State Government Relations with General Electric. “General Electric is committed to investing the time, resources and energy necessary to support economic development and jobs in our state, and we strongly support the Florida Chamber’s goal of making Florida a great place to live, work and do business. I encourage leaders in our region who have businesses in Florida to join with us in our efforts to improve Florida’s economic quality of life.”

Paris was re-appointed by Steve Knopik, President and CEO of Bealls, Inc. and Chair of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and will work directly to convene Atlanta-area business leaders with Florida legislative leaders to create the most competitive business environment for businesses to thrive. Paris is also chair of the Florida Chamber’s Florida Caucus- a group that leads Free Enterprise initiatives for Georgia headquartered businesses that have business interests throughout Florida.

“Trey Paris is a highly experienced business leader that fully understands the important role Atlanta Headquartered businesses play in the overall health of Florida’s economy,” said Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “By continuing his role as a Florida Chamber Regional Chair, Trey will volunteer his time and talent in support of the Florida Chamber’s efforts to champion free enterprise principles and solutions toward securing Florida’s future.”

Paris is one of twelve regional chairs that are a part of the Florida Chamber’s Regional Chair Program.
