FDOT Secretary Kevin Thibault Discusses Preparing Florida for 2030 by Championing Florida’s New Corridors Project

Florida is expecting 4.5 million news residents and about three million new drivers by the year 2030. As it stands, traffic congestion will only worsen and the urban-rural divide will widen. Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Kevin Thibault joined us on the latest edition of the Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line to discuss Florida’s new M-CORES corridors.

Secretary Thibault partnered with the Florida Chamber and Senate President Bill Galvano in championing Galvano’s infrastructure package born out of the Florida Chamber Infrastructure Coalition.

“The corridors initiative was an opportunity to be more proactive,” said Thibault. “We’re trying to take a principled approach to how we set the plan on transportation needs for this state.”
