The First Aid/CPR/AED section of this course was developed by the National Safety Council and provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to execute life-saving techniques. This course is the only nationally recognized first aid training to meet OSHA best practices. By engaging in hands-on practice\, participants experience greater retention and develop the confidence to respond correctly during a medical emergency. \nDuring the bloodborne pathogens section of the course\, participants will learn the fundamentals of bloodborne pathogens\, essential information on hepatitis viruses and HIV\, how to prevent infection from bloodborne pathogens\, exposure controls\, labeling\, and key facts about airborne and bloodborne pathogens\, including tuberculosis. This course will also help you understand the standard and have a copy of it to keep onsite\, offer refresher training\, learn how to control the spread of TB\, influenza\, and other airborne pathogens\, and know what to do if an exposure occurs. \n\nCertifications and CEUs\n\nDuring this one-day training\, participants will receive two certificates upon successful completion.
