Doug Davidson, New Florida Chamber Foundation Chair, Will Lead Efforts to Secure Florida’s Future

With six million more residents expected in Florida by 2030 and two million more jobs needed, the Florida Chamber Foundation is focused on the long-term vision and strategic direction for Florida’s future. This is why we are proud to announce that Doug Davidson, Global Commercial Banking Market Executive for North and Central Florida at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, has been named the 2016-2018 Chair of the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Doug Davidson’s leadership and vision will be an asset to the Board of Trustees as the Chamber Foundation continues its mission to guide Florida toward a future economy that includes high-paying jobs, global competitiveness and vibrant and sustainable communities.

“Because Florida is my home, and will be for the rest of my life, I am personally committed to helping to develop a bright future for our state. The Florida Chamber Foundation, along with its staff, trustees and members is precisely the organization that can help make that future even brighter,” said Davidson.

Davidson has been with Bank of America since 1994, originally joining the NationsBank commercial banking team in Tampa. In Davidson’s role as Global Commercial Banking Market Executive for North and Central Florida, he leads a leads a team of professionals in managing a loan and deposit portfolio for public and private commercial banking clients. Davidson graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Florida in 1993 with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Marketing and later earned his Certified Treasury Professional designation from the Association for Financial Professionals in 1998 and Six Sigma Green Belt certification in 2003.

In addition to his work with the Florida Chamber Foundation, Davidson serves on the boards of The Vincent Lecavalier Foundation, and Council for Educational Change. He is a Trustee of Florida TaxWatch and Advisory Board member of Center for Competitive Florida. He previously served on the Board of Directors of United Way of Tampa Bay.
