Congratulations to Chris Hart IV On Being Named President and CEO of Enterprise Florida, Inc.

The Florida Chamber of Commerce today congratulates Chris Hart IV on being named President and CEO of Enterprise Florida (EFI).

“Talent is replacing tax incentives as the economic development tool of choice, and who better to lead Florida’s economic development efforts than the nation’s best workforce champion, Chris Hart,” said MARK WILSON, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

During Hart’s tenure as President and CEO of CareerSource Florida, he helped connect businesses with a talented workforce and assisted more than 340,000 Floridians in securing employment opportunities.

For 100 years, the Florida Chamber – Florida’s voice for business — has advocated for private-sector job creation. The Florida Chamber led the 1996 efforts encouraging the Florida Legislature to formally create EFI as a public-private organization and to place economic development and international trade at the helm of its mission in securing jobs for Floridians.  Since 2011, EFI has secured competitive projects to Florida that will bring more than 100,000 jobs and more than $8 billion in capital investment to Florida’s communities.

With six million more Floridians expected to call Florida home by 2030, it’s important Florida remain focused on free enterprise and private-sector job creation to help ensure Floridians have job opportunities.

The Florida Chamber looks forward to continuing our partnership with EFI and Hart to create jobs and economic opportunities for all Floridians.
