Chamber Hosted Workforce Readiness Luncheon

The Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce hosted its Workforce Readiness Luncheon October 18th at the West Palm Beach Marriott. The event, presented by CareerSource Palm Beach County Palm Beach County, featured Keynote Speaker Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to the luncheon, a workshop was held facilitated by Charles Duval, Director of Corporate Partnerships and Business Solutions of CareerSource Palm Beach County. A discussion was held with business and educational partners on the needs and employment gaps within their fields and how we can collaboratively work to find workforce solutions.

During the luncheon, Mark Wilson informed attendees on the talent, skills and future work in Florida as well as the various measures being taken to fill the workforce gap. Wilson stated, “Talent is replacing the incentive as the new economic development currency.”
