The Florida Chamber’s Political Operations helped deliver 18 pro-jobs candidate victories during Tuesday’s primary election. The 2018 primary election results build on the Florida Chamber’s long-standing history of early and aggressively deploying its political operations to help elect candidates that support free enterprise. A full listing of all races – along with the winners of those primaries – can be found here.

Earlier this summer, the Florida Chamber interviewed more than 125 new candidates for the Florida House and Senate as well as the Florida Cabinet. Following this extensive statewide interview process, the Florida Chamber endorsed 83 candidates, 51 of whom did not have a primary opponent, and 26 of whom had a primary contest. Six candidates were endorsed and elected to their office with no opposition. This diverse and bipartisan group of Florida Chamber-backed candidates includes men and women, African-Americans, Hispanics and Caucasians.
