Despite the effects of COVID-19, Florida remains the 4th largest global competitor, and the technology job market continues to prosper. Florida is currently ranked 5th for net technology Jobs added in 2020, only slightly down from 3rd in 2019. We were able to land 1st on the Diversity Index Quartile based on Simpson’s Diversity Index measure (Cyberstates™ by CompTIA – Florida 2020 Technology Jobs). Estimated median tech wages currently exceed median state wages by 88%, underlining the important role of technology jobs in Florida’s economic growth.
