Dan Tapia is the Manager of International Strategy & Policy with the Florida Chamber’s International Trade and Investment Office. In this position, Dan is responsible for developing and implementing programs that foster global trade and investment in Florida. These programs include: The International Business Council, Florida Trade and Logistics Institute, Global Florida, and International Days. He is also responsible for promoting the Chamber’s international trade agenda, including reducing barriers to trade, promoting efforts to expand trade opportunities for Florida businesses, and increasing foreign direct investment in Florida.
Prior to joining the Florida Chamber, Dan was Director of Governmental Affairs at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. He was the Chamber’s chief advocate and was responsible for the development and implementation of strategy for the support of the Chamber’s public policy agenda.
Dan is a graduate of Florida State University with a dual degree in International Affairs and Political Science.
