Florida Governor Rick Scott Discusses 2018 Legislative Priorities During January Board of Governors Webinar

Thank you to those who were able to join us January 22  for the Florida Chamber’s Board of Governors monthly webinar. We appreciated the opportunity to share key information about the past and future of Florida’s economy and the upcoming 2018 Florida Legislative Session.

We were honored to be joined by Florida Governor Rick Scott who shared his priorities for the 2018 Legislative Session – his final session as Governor. During a candid discussion with Bob Grammig, Florida Chamber of Commerce Board Chair and Partner with Holland & Knight, LLP, Governor Scott said Florida’s business community needed to get even more involved in the legislative process and urged business leaders to work with the Florida Chamber to hold elected leaders accountable.

We also heard from Florida Chamber Foundation Chief Economist Dr. Jerry Parrish, who shared the most recent job numbers, as well as the results of the Florida Chamber’s 2018 Q1 Small Business Index Survey.
