Business leaders from across the globe convened to strategize on how to promote and expand international business in Florida and hear from experts and elected officials.
Tom Donohue, the President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, spoke at International Days on how Florida’s economy can grow through international trade. Donohue supported the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) which he said will lead to more growth.
Governor Rick Scott, who also spoke to International Days delegates about the importance of international trade to Florida’s economy, took the opportunity to sign a Florida Chamber-backed bill repealing international driving permits into law – HB 7059 sponsored by Rep. Daniel Davis (R-Jacksonville.)
