Lila A. Jaber Esq.
Lila Jaber is a shareholder and leader of the Government Affairs practice. She joined the firm in 2010. Twice appointed to the Florida’s Public Service Commission (PSC) by Governor Jeb Bush, Ms. Jaber served as both Commissioner and Chairman. Today, her public and civic service continues as a board member of Workforce Florida, Inc., and as the current Chair of Leadership Florida. Ms. Jaber provides strategic advice and counsel on a number of issues including utility-related matters, such as rate case development and negotiations, as well as company to company business opportunities. Ms. Jaber also advises clients on issues before the Florida Attorney General’s Office, the Florida Legislature, and the Office of the Governor. Ms. Jaber is knowledgeable in public affairs, energy, natural gas, water, telecommunications, and broadband policies.
Ms. Jaber’s practice areas include: Government Affairs & Public Policy, Economic Development & Incentives, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Energy Project Development & Finance, Florida Legislative & Executive Lobbying, Green & Sustainable Development, Energy & Climate Change, Local Government Advocacy and Florida Attorney General Chapter 501 Inquiries.
Ms. Jaber currently serves as the chair of Leadership Florida. Additional associations memberships include: Certified Circuit Court Mediator, The Florida Bar: Government, Public Utility Law and Administrative Law Section, University of Florida Public Utility Research Center, Senior Fellow, Workforce Florida, Inc., Board of Directors .
Ms. Jaber co-authored “Defining Green Jobs for Florida” and is fluent in Arabic.
