Regional Manager, State Legislative Affairs, Government & Public Affairs - Florida Hospital (Orlando)

Karen Flood has served as Regional Manager, State Legislative Affairs, Government & Public Affairs for Florida Hospital since June 2011. Previously she served as Director, External Relations for Metro Orlando EDC where she was responsible for:

  • Managing the outreach to and relationship strategy for the EDC’s five government partners, including management of the EDC volunteer Government Liaison Teams.
  • Developing an executive EDC and bioOrlando legislative agendas, including coordinated outreach to legislators.
  • Managing the strategy of the EDC Governors Council.
  • Presenting on behalf of the EDC at community forums and events and prepare talking points and associated materials for the CEO.
  • Assisting in writing and creation of electronic newsletter sent to 1,800 individuals weekly.
  • Producing and distribute monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and year-end reports.
