Gina Reynolds
Gina Reynolds presently serves as the CEO of Florida’s Heartland Regional Economic Development Initiative, Inc. (FHREDI) & Florida’s Freshwater Frontier (FFF). In this role she provides marketing and advocacy for the region which includes Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands and Okeechobee Counties, the cities of Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay and the community of Immokalee. Prior to joining FHREDI/FFF she served as Deputy Director of the Columbia County IDA/EDO. During that time, she simultaneously served as the Deputy Director of the Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce for nearly 5 years when the IDA and Chamber shared staff. Reynolds entered the Chamber business at the Madison County Chamber of Commerce where she was instrumental in increasing membership by 30% within a year and a half. She also has a strong background in project management, manufacturing, distribution, operations, marketing and sales that she gained while working for a private mint firm for twelve years.
While at the Columbia County IDA, Reynolds served as a team member developing an integrated logistics center in north Florida. Building a statewide collaboration of transportation networks, she now serves as a team member developing an integrated logistics center in south Florida. Both facilities will serve as transportation hubs to move goods to the end consumer not only in Florida but throughout the eastern United States and in Latin America.
Serving on the Florida Chamber Foundation Board of Trustees, Reynolds represents Florida’s thirty-three rural counties of which twenty-eight are collectively known as the Rural Areas of Critical Economic Concern (RACEC). Three RACEC areas were established by Governor Bush in 2003 to bridge the gap between urban and rural wage earnings. In cooperation with Enterprise Florida each RACEC developed a strategic plan and designated catalyst sites that would drive economic development in the respective regions.
The RACEC areas are independently known as:
- Florida’s Heartland Regional Economic Development Initiative (FHREDI)
