College Offers Manufacturing Skills Training

By Clayton Park

DAYTONA BEACH — Since starting its fast-track manufacturing skills training program a year ago, Daytona State College’s College of Workforce and Continuing Education has helped two dozen area residents land manufacturing jobs.

Dean Howe, the college’s Florida TRADE Manufacturing program adviser, would like to increase that number.

The college, in an effort to get more people to sign up for the program, will hold information sessions on July 22 and July 30, beginning at 5 p.m. both days.
