TALLAHASSEE (January 30, 2012)- The latest edition of The Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line features U.S. Representative Steve Southerland, II (R-FL), Florida Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mark Wilson, and host Alia Faraj-Johnson in a water policy discussion on numeric nutrient criteria (NNC).
Rep. Southerland, the Florida Chamber and key stakeholders are supportive of efforts to encourage the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to accept Florida’s science based water quality standards.
Earlier today, Rep. Southerland announced plans to file a federal bill that would encourage the federal EPA to adopt the state of Florida’s NNC levels – a measure that would supplement what Florida legislative leaders are doing in the state legislature.
