Unifying Florida’s Business Community to Advance Free Enterprise
What our state needs most is a united business community that puts the long-term business climate ahead of short-term political fixes. The Florida Chamber is ready to stand up and take ACTION on the issues that matter to you.
The Florida Chamber of Commerce represents more than 139,000 grassroots members with more than three million employees. The Florida Chamber fights in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. for pro-business, pro-jobs legislation.
Every year, Florida Chamber members help set the Florida Chamber’s legislative agenda for jobs. Commonly referred to as the Florida Business Agenda, this jobs plan is based on input from our members, local chambers of commerce, association partners and research. The Florida Business Agenda serves as a blueprint for private-sector job creation and a guide for the legislature and Governor to leverage as they focus on getting Floridians back to work and securing Florida’s future.
We then recognize lawmakers who cast pro-business, pro-jobs votes on behalf of Florida’s business community with grades on our Legislative Report Card. The Florida Chamber’s annual How They Voted Legislative Report Card, is published after the conclusion of each legislative session to allow the business community to track the votes that matter most. Through the Legislative Report Card, business leaders are able to see how individual legislators voted on their priorities, including their overall support for or against job creation and Florida’s future.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, 139,000 grassroots members and the more than three million jobs they represent, we urge the Florida Legislature to support our pro-business solutions to transition our economy and help create jobs.
